What We Believe

Mission Statement:

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, being centred in Christ, is a community of Christians dedicated to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, in Regina and around the world, through the proclamation of the Word, the celebration of the Sacraments, and service to others in Christ’s name. We gather for worship on land that is part of Treaty 4, and has been home to our Indigenous and Métis siblings for thousands of years.

Trinity is a member congregation of the Saskatchewan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (links to sasksynod.ca and elcic.ca). We adhere to the creeds and confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. Trinity seeks to be a welcoming community of faith, and is working to build relationships which can bridge differences in opinion and experience. It is Trinity’s policy to endorse and celebrate the ELCIC Social Statement on Human Sexuality, and to follow the ELCIC’s guideline for Inclusive Language. Trinity’s pastor is empowered by the congregation to preside at any legal marriage.

OUR CALLING

Authentic Faith

At TLC, we pursue the Glory of God through worship, ministry, giving and education. We strive to connect with Jesus Christ and to each other, in order to magnify His name. At the heart of everything we do is the understanding that we must love God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind, and to treat our neighbors as we wish to be treated ourselves.
